Association charter

Chinese Sports Dance Athletic Association, or CSDA for short, is registered in Hong Kong where its headquarters locate, and has the status of independent legal person.

With the aim to organize and unify all the sports dance (International Ballroom Dancing) athletes and lovers in China andto bring all positive factors into full play, the Association is operated according to the national Constitution, laws, regulations, policies and social morality to implement the nationwide physical fitness plan, popularize the sports dance (International Ballroom Dancing) of Chine, improve skills of dancing, promote the construction of harmonious society and culture and expand artistic exchanges, competitions and academic studies of sports dance (International Ballroom Dancing).

       

Culture and art play an irreplaceable role in the support of spirit, belief, idea and ethic. Chinese Sports Dance Athletic Associationtightly seizes the theme of temporary culture, faces the whole country, has the whole world in eye and always cooperates with organizations and personages of all circles fond of sports dance (International Ballroom Dancing) to seek for common development.

 

Regulation of Chinese Sports Dance Athletic Association

Chapter I  General Provision

Article OneChinese Name

Article Two  Principle: to promote the solidarity and cooperation within the circle of sports dance (International Ballroom Dancing, hereinafter inclusive) at home and abroad, to strengthen the national cohesion, bring honor to the spirit of patriotism, implement the nationwide physical fitness plan and to fight for a power nation of world sports dance.

Article Three  Nature: The Association is a national non-profit mass organization. Voluntarily composed of sports dance lovers, workers and earnest supporters at home and abroad, the Association is a professional organization specialized in study, teaching, training, examining and performance of sports dance. The Associationabides by the Constitution, laws, regulations and policies of China and accepts the professional guidance and supervision by relevant government departments.

 

Chapter II  Scope of Business

Article Four  1. To collect, organize, study and publish technical materials relating to dance;to organize communication and study to improve the academic level and dance level of members.

2. To organizeteaching, lectures, performances, academic exchanges and events and other activities ofsports dance in conjunction withdomestic and international professional organizations and institutions.

3. To carry out activities of training, examination with professional organizations.

4. To cooperate with domestic and international sports dance organizations to carry out outreach activities of sportsdance.

5.To build a high-level performance team of sports danceto meet the needs of domestic and international cultural market.

6. To construct a high-level team of sports dance teachers to lay a solid organizational foundationfor the cultivation of sports dance enthusiasts and professional backbones.

7. To construct a high-level team of judges and teachers to meet the needs of various domestic competitions for the glory of the country.

8. To guide professional activities of members of the Association.

9. To provide information consulting service.

 

Chapter III  Members of Association

 

Article Five  Members of the Association are divided into group members and individual members.

Article Six  Members applying to the Association shall meet the following requirements:

1. To support the Regulation;

2. Willing to join the Association;

3. Having a solid foundation or artistic accomplishment in professional area, and having a healthy and positive thinking character.

Article Seven  Process of Membership Admission

1. Individual submitsthe application for membership and fill out the membership registration form; 

2. The application is reviewed and approved by Standing Board of Directors or the organization authorized by the Association;

3. Membership certificate is issued byBoard of Directors or the organization authorized by the Association;

4. Domestic and international sports dance institutions, organizations, professional institutions and other related organizations may apply for thegroup member of the Association.

Article Eight  Members enjoy the following rights:

1. The right to vote and to be elected;

2. The priority to serve the Association;

3. The right of criticisms and suggestions to the headquarters;

4. Free choice to join or withdraw the Association.

Article Nine  Members shall perform the following duties:

1. To support the Regulation and implement resolutions of the Regulation;

2. To safeguard the legitimate rights and interests and reputation of the Association;

3. To actively participate in the activities undertaken by the Association, and earnestly fulfill the tasks assigned by the Association;

4. To pay membership dues according to requirement. Those who with late payment of more than one year willbe disqualifiedfrom the membershipautomatically;

5. To reflect and provide relevant information and data to the Association.

Article Ten  Members who withdraw the membership shall apply to the Association with a written request and hand in the membership certificate.

Article Eleven  In the case that a member has seriously violated the Regulation,damaged the reputation of the Association, or legally punished by law due to commitment of crimes, such member shall be expelled from the Association with the discussion and approval of Standing Board of Directors or authorized organization of the Association.

Chapter IV  Election and Dismissal of Organizations and Principals

Article Twelve  The high authority of the Association is Standing Board of Directors whose powers are as follows:

1. To develop and amendthe Regulation;

2. To electand dismiss directors;

3. To consider the work and financial reportsof permanent organizations;

4. To decide the termination of the Association;

5. To decide other significant matters.

ArticleThirteen  The resolutions of Standing Board of Directors shall take effective upon the approval by voting of 2/3 standing directors.

 

ArticleFourteen  The Board Meeting shall be convened once a year and may be postponed in special circumstances.

 

ArticleFifteen  Standing Directors shall be elected by Board of Directors and exercise the power of Board of Directors during the closure of the meeting.

 

Article Sixteen  The Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secret-general of the Association shall meet the following requirements:

 

1. Excellent in both performance skills and moral integrity; having a good quality of characteristic and organizational capacity;

 

2. Having greatinfluence and cohesion in the areaof professional sports dance;

 

3. Having a good health and able to keep working;

 

4. Having not been deprived of political rights for criminal punishment;

 

Article Seventeen  The Chairman of the Association exercises the following powers:

 

1. To convene and preside over Meetings of Standing Board of Directors and Board of Directors;

 

2. To check the implementation of resolutions ofStanding Board of Directors and Board of Directors;

 

3. To organize and implement annual work plan;

 

4. To host major activities of the Association;

 

5. The Vice Chairman shall assist the Chairman in exercise of authority.

 

Article Eighteen  The Secret-general of the Association exercises the following powers:

 

1. To presided over the daily administrative work of the Associationunder the leadership of the Chairman;

 

2. To coordinatethe works with functional departments, branches and representative offices;

 

3. To take the responsibility for internal management of the Association;

 

4. Other matters assigned by the Chairman.

 

Chapter V  Principles of Management and usage of Assets

 

Article Nineteen  Sources of funding: 1. Membership dues; 2. donations; 3. government funding; 4. lawful incomefrom activities or services within the approved range; 5. other legitimate incomes.

 

Article Twenty  The fund of the Association is only for operational activities and business development specified in the Regulation and shall not be distributed among members

 

Article Twenty-one  The Association shall establish a strict system of financial management to ensure that the accounting information is legitimate, true, accurate and complete. The Association shalladopt a strict financial supervision system. Its financial status shall be audited and handed over upon the departure of accountant

 

Article Twenty-two  Thewages, insurance, welfare benefitsof full-time staff of the Association shall refer to the provisions of the state institutions.

Chapter Six  Process of Amendment to the Association

Article twenty-three For the voluntary dissolution and cancellation of the Association, the termination resolution will be made by the General Council or the Council.

Article twenty-four Before the termination, a liquidation group shall be set up under the guidance of the relative organization to settle claims and debts and deal with the follow-up matters. During the liquidation, no activities besides the settlement shall be implemented.

Article twenty-five  The exempt properties of the association after the termination shall be used to develop the projects related to the purposes of the association in compliance with the corresponding regulations.

Article twenty-six The Articles of Association shall be effective since the approval of the General Council.

Article twenty-seven The Articles of Association shall be construed by the General Council.

Regulations on students, teachers and judges' licensing examination and training

May 1, 2009

The main tasks of Chinese Sports Dance Association are "communication and competition of cultural art and dance, training and licensing, dancer's qualification and academic research". As to improve the technical level of sports dance and adapt to the national sports dance competition and teaching requirements, the Association has set up the students, teachers and judges' training and licensing institution and made it normalization and standardization.

I. Students' licensing examination

1. Examiners department:

Chinese Sports Dance Athletics Associationas "csda")。

2. Examination target:

Students of all ages and genders (divided into children and adults) from the legally qualified sports dance (international dance) training schools, centers, groups and clubs of the country.

3. Licensing arrangement

There are bronze medals, silver medals, gold medals, golden star level 1 and golden star level 2. The licensing and qualification certificates will be granted by the Association unified and recorded into the computer database of the Association.

4. Qualification

The bronze medalists are qualified to participate in the provincial and municipal international dance competitions, the silver medalists to the national competitions and the gold medalists, golden star level 1 and level 2 are to the national, Hong Kong and British competitions. All the students will licensing qualifications can be sent to the international professional dance academies for further education first in the country, Hong Kong and U.K.

II. Teachers and judges' training examination

 1. Training target:

  persons planed to be promoted to national level teachers and judges;

  persons who have received national level teachers or judges qualifications (level C, B and A) (training and annual examination registration).

 2. Training contents:

  rules and regulations about sports dance (international standard dance, the same below);

  basic English related to sports dance;

  basic dressing rules about sports dance;

  standard dance and Latin dance teaching methods;

  sports dance level teaching material and combination of gold medalist and golden star level 1;

  judges' rules.

 3. Instructors and examination officials:

They are the professional teachers and professors from the national and international sports dance and international dance academies.

 4. Examination and graduation:

  those who have received state-level referee licenses and completed the training and examinations will be granted with national teacher and judge certificates;

  students who have taken the state-level teachers and judges qualification examinations in theoretical and technical ones and have received qualifications for application of state-level teachers and judges;

  the state-level teachers and judges who are o be promoted and have qualified in the training and technical examinations will be granted with the corresponding certificates.

 5. Requirements:

  those who are to take the reexaminations and upgrade tests shall take along the original state-level certificates for the convenience of qualification screening;

  the state-level teachers and judges of invalid certificates shall take the training and examinations again;

  Come with three one-inch bareheaded photos when signing up.

Membership Management Method

May 1, 2009

I. The method is constructed in compliance with the Articles of Association of Chinese Sports Dance Athletics Association.

II. There are group members and individual members.

III. The applications shall be qualified as follows:

 1. support these Articles of Association;

 2. be voluntary to join in the Association;

 3. approved by the Association;

 4. abide by the national laws and these Articles of Association.

IV. Admission process:

 1. submit the Application for Admission (for the individuals, two 2-inch bareheaded photos are required and for the group members, the corresponding department issued qualification certificate copies are required);

2. the institutions authorized by the General Council or the Association will review on the memberships;

3. the Association will grant the uniform membership certificates;

4. the national and international sports dance (international standard dance) institutions, groups, academies and other related organizations can apply to join in the Association under the group member status,

V. The members are entitled to the following rights:

1. rights to elect, to be elected and to vote;

2. rights to join in activities of the Association;

3. privileges to receive guarantee of rights and interests and services;

4. rights to criticize, suggest and monitor on the works of the Association;

5. voluntary to join in and free to exit.

VI. The members shall take the following obligations:

1. support these Articles of Association to execute the resolutions;

2. support the legal rights and reputations of the Association;

3. actively participate in the activities of the Association and the subordinate institutions and complete the works assigned;

4. pay for the membership fees accordingly;

5. feedback on the corresponding situations and supply the related materials.

VII. Membership withdraw matters:

1. the members shall submit the written applications for removing the memberships and send back the membership licenses, and the membership will be terminated immediately;

2. the memberships will be terminated automatically if failed to pay for the membership fees or participate in the activities of the Association or subordinate institutions for one year;

3. if the members have severely violated the Articles of Association or have taken other illegal actions, the memberships will be removed after resolutions of the General Council.

VIII. Membership fee standard:

1. the Association will establish the membership fee scientifically in compliance with the Articles of Association;

2. the establishment and emendation of the membership fee standard will be discussed and approved by the General Council;

3. the General Council can regulate and adjust the local annual or quarterly membership fee amount in compliance with the specific situations of the various places.
